I am happy to announce today the release of my new Stack SpeechBubbles. The SpeechBubbles Stack can contain anything that you want! It uses CSS3 to provide beautiful rounded corners and a gradient background. The SpeechBubbles Stack work very well in all of our favorite modern browsers: Safari, Firefox, Chrome, Opera. Simple & Elegant Browser Tooltips

It’s been a while since I have given back something cool to my users and the RW community. So today I wanted to release a great new stack called TipTip for FREE!!! TipTip is a sweet & simple custom tooltip that behaves just like the browser tooltip but looks a whole lot better! It is based off the awesome TipTip JQuery Plugin.

TipTip detects the edges of the browser window and will make sure the tooltip stays within the current window size. As a result the tooltip will adjust itself to be displayed above, below, to the left or to the right of the element with TipTip applied to it, depending on what is necessary to stay within the browser window. It uses ZERO images and is completely customizable via CSS. Make sure that check out real world samples at the TipTip Stack Test Site.

RSS Stack Integration

The RSS Stacks have been a HUGE hit! I have been getting a lot of great feedback form our users. I am happy to announce that the now all of the RSS stack users can enhance there RSS stacks even more with the free TipTip stack. I am happy to announce today the release of my latest stack called Gyro. The Gyro Stack is an image slider stack that can create elegant banners for your Rapidweaver site. With all of the debates about the future of flash on the web, the smart thing to do is use simple widgets that utilize HTML/CSS/Javascript so that your site can be viewed across all platforms, even mobile. What’s in the Update?

What’s in the Update?

• The Offsite Stack has been upgraded to use JQuery v1.4.1. This new version is much smoother in rendering the resize effects.
• The height settings were changed from being a slider to simply an input field. This allows you to specify the exact height without the fudge factor that the slider settings have.
• Added a new width setting to allow you to specify the exact width you want. You can use percentages or a defined pixel width.
• Fixed issues with the Gecko browsers (such as Firefox) where the height of the offsite source was getting improperly set.
• Updated the dmg to include an installer application. Installing these stacks could not be easier now.

How to Upgrade the Offsite Stacks

The following is a quick tutorial on how you can upgrade the stacks on your stacks page.

1. Drag new stack onto page.
2. Copy the settings from old stack into the new version.
3. Delete old stack from the page

This update is free for all customers who have already purchased the Offsite Stack. You will be receiving an email with details on how to obtain your updated stacks.

How to Upgrade the CMS/CSS Stacks

Because of the changes that were made under the hood in these stacks, there is some work that will need to be done if you want to upgrade your existing sites that use these stacks. However, your sites will still function perfectly if you do not upgrade the stacks on your pages. The only time that you will have to follow this upgrade path is if….

1. You want the new width and height settings for an image stack.
2. You with like to use the new simplified Text and/or Text Floating stack instead of your existing version.
3. If you are bored and have some time on your hands!

The following is a quick tutorial on how you can upgrade the stacks on your stacks page.

1. Drag new stack onto page.
2. Copy content and settings from old stack into the new version.
3. Delete old stack from the page
